Bamboos suitability as a flooring material is excellent. Its dimensionally stable, outperforming any hardwood flooring on the market in this respect. It also resist indentation very well, being 27% harder than red oak and 14% harder than rock maple.
A very sustainable product as a plant can produce a crop at around every 90 days.
Bamboo flooring however is a solid natural product and will naturally expand when exposed to moisture although usually less than solid wood flooring. Even so it is important not to expose Bamboo to excessive humidity.
